For the past 30 years, Shepard Fairey has used art and graphic design as a form of social commentary and political interrogation. Rooted in graffiti tradition, his work combines striking stylized imagery with bold typography to explore themes such as anti-violence, racial and gender equality, and environmental awareness. This collection, developed for the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, presents 30 new works alongside selections from the Capitoline Superintendency’s contemporary collection, creating a dialogue between Fairey’s practice and broader contemporary art narratives.
